We've been busy the past few weeks having fun with friends and me trying to do some packing. I've resorted to hiring babysitters so that the kids can still have fun and go outside (or to the zoo, the park or the library) and I can get a few hours of packing or support-raising computer work accomplished. My sweet Aunt Pam took the kids Tuesday-Saturday of last week so I could get a head-start on packing! It was SO HELPFUL!!!!!
I already get teary-eyed sitting in church enjoying the singing and preaching, or thinking about saying goodbye to all of our sweet friends. Watching Adelaide hold hands and give hugs and play with her friends makes me cry. Sorting and packing up my recipes the other day brought on a flood of tears! I think some of that was just the mental exhaustion of having to make so many decisions and give a value to everything we have in our house - even little pieces of paper with recipes on them. But I know it's all worth it, and when I consider how Jesus left his BEAUTIFUL, PERFECT home in Heaven to become a helpless, out-of-control baby, then certainly I can do this little move through his strength!
Thou who wast rich beyond all splendor,
all for love's sake becamest poor;
thrones for a manger didst surrender,
sapphire-paved courts for stable floor.
Thou who wast rich beyond all splendor,
all for love's sake becamest poor.
