Early Birthday Celebration

We had the waiter bring cake and ice cream to celebrate Addie's 2nd Birthday with my family, since they won't be around during the actual day or party.

Thanksgiving in Texas

We went to Texas for Thanksgiving.
This is Addie "playing" with Grampa. Funny how Grampas can fall asleep anywhere!
Connor and Addie.
Jackson, Nathan, Ila, Connor and Addie. Hard to believe in a year from now we'll have 3 more to add!
This was the first time she really had fun opening presents.
Taking a picture of Jackson taking a picture of me.
She really enjoyed the Hello Kitty magnetic set.
Nathan and Connor showing off their goofy Christmas glasses.
Ila sharing her glasses with Grampa.
Dad tackling the boys!
Addie was really excited about her Dora coloring set.
The 3 prego sisters! Lauren's due late March, Krista's due early April, and I'm due early June.

New Outfit

This is my latest sewing project. Obviously I didn't sew the t-shirt, just the letters on it. It was fun to do, especially the message it gives. Due in June!

"Hi Duckies!"

We went to go feed the ducks at the Art Museum. Really, the geese were fed more than the ducks, being bigger and more aggressive. I was concerned that they were getting too close to us, but she'd just wave and throw the bread and say "Hi duckies!"
Her cousins Morgan, Ella Cate and Preston joined us a little later and they had a great time running around!

23 Months

Addie is really into ballet and ballerinas now, especially after watching "The Little Princess" (the old one, with Shirley Temple). I loved the ballerinas in that movie too - but this girl is addicted! Anyway, we video-taped her dancing in her tu-tu (she says "twe-twe") but this picture is from the end of the movie when they salute Queen Victoria.
She was playing in her crib one morning while I was in the kitchen. I went to check on her and she was lining up all of her animals along the bumper pads.
LOVES books!
We've been working on finding middle C. She can do it, with a little prompting! My piano teacher of 14 years, Mr. Thompson, passed away last month. He loved seeing pictures of her at the piano!
It's clicked that when I take a picture, she can see it on the back of the camera. So now whenever she sees the camera, she jumps up and runs over to see the picture. It has not clicked yet that I have to take a picture for her to see one! So we've been having trouble getting good 'action shots.' Below she was pulling out all the books from the cabinet and reading them.
Here she had taken the tupperware out and lined it up in the dining room entry. Obviously close to nap-time!

Zoo

We went to the zoo with some friends and had a nice time. It's nice our zoo isn't too big but has enough animals to enjoy and alot of room for children to roam.
Porter and Addie sharing raisins and goldfish (Addie could live off of those!).
I hope you can see this monkey laid out 'sunning' - cracked me up!
The baby elephant just turned a year old.
Watching the spider monkeys - one had a little baby.

Fall Festival/Reformation Day/Halloween

Whatever you want to call it, it's fun to dress up and get candy!
We dressed Addie up as a white kitty. I think I had more fun getting her outfit together than she had wearing it! She firmly vetoed both attempts to paint whiskers and a nose on. We first headed to a fall festival at Eastwood Church.
"Playing" putt-putt - she did try with the stick but resorted to this more effective method.
I guess we've never given her chocolate before because she devoured it and kept wanting more, especially the Reese's cups.
Then we went to a party in our neighborhood - had to get the girls together...
Monkey (Ella), Bumblebee (Coco), and Kitty Cat (Adelaide)
Not a great picture, but you can at least see her kitty paws if you look close enough.
