Martin let everyone have the entire day off! David slept in while I took care of Addie. During her nap we figured out transportation for Ireland – we’re renting a car Friday to Sunday to get down south. Pray for us and safety! No, I’m really excited about the challenge of driving in a foreign country on the wrong side of the road and car, but do want us to all be safe. Anyway, then after her nap we headed out at 12. David finally got a haircut and then went to Kings College Chapel and grounds. Got so many pictures!

Enjoyed our time there, then to Great St. Mary’s Church across the street to go up in the tower. More pictures there!

We walked around the market and some shops, and then to the Eagle. Matt met up with us there just as Addie was waking up from her much-needed slumber.Then Mayowa met up with us. She and I took Addie home while the guys went to the store. I tried to get Addie down but not successful. Matt got us pizzas for dinner which Addie enjoyed. She was so hot and sticky I just decided to give her a bath – poor thing still hates them! We enjoyed the time talking with Matt and Mayowa about all of our lives back home. Mayowa says her grandparents’ generation in Nigeria were polygamous. Her grandfather had like 4 wives and so she has a TON of cousins and all. And their house, which is in a gated community with barbed wire, etc. and they have a driver and everything – i.e. they’re not really rich but not poor – but their house doesn’t have hot water so to take a shower/bath you have to boil water and add it to a tub of cold water and bathe that way. She was really interested to learn I was a debutante and wanted to hear all about that; and we told them about our dating/engagement story. Matt told us more about Yorkshire and more terminology from there. He says he has a CD of folk music to give us!
