a.k.a. speed bumps
Because the roads are so narrow, one way has the "right of way" while the other direction has to pull over to let the "priority" go through. So this sign is saying it's about to change, if that makes sense.
This was at Minster Lovell and a British guy said, "You're not really going to take a picture of the sign, are you?" We told him we thought it was funny how some of the signs in England are phrased. We understand what they mean (most the time!) but we just say it differently. He said the Brits say it "properly." Of course!
This was a sign for directions to different towns, but the plants are so overgrown you can't even see the names of the cities! Definitely quaint English countryside- these weren't the A or B roads - more like Z roads!
Going over a bridge...
We thought this was especially funny. And Addie's blank expression seems to ironically fit somehow. (PLEASE NOTE: Children on the rampage (!) will be asked to leave)

Are they serious?! (Business Hours: OPEN most days about 9 or 10 occasionally as early as 7 but some days as late as 12 or 1. we close about 5:30 or 6, occasionally about 4 or 5 but sometimes as late as 11 or 12. Some days or afternoons we aren't here at all and lately we've been here just about all the time except when we're someplace else but we should be here then too!)
