I didn’t think we would make it to Tiddly-winks this morning, because Addie seemed so tired at breakfast. But she wasn’t going down for a nap, and I knew she’d love playing with the other kids, and I’d enjoy meeting other moms. So we went; 25 min. walk to Eden. Half the moms were members at Eden, the other half moms from around the area just looking for something to do with their kids. Evidently, playgroups are a big deal over here, but structured more around community than friends; and you pay a pound or so to get in. It’d be nice to find one in our neighborhood as well. Addie did have a great time, once we got past her stealing another kid’s cookie or “biscuit” right at the start! So it was 10-11:30, with a snack in-between as well as a Bible story with puppets and some singing. Adelaide kept wanting more of the crackers, and did NOT want to put on a cover in order to paint a Father’s Day card! Came home, lunch, and nap – cleaning, writing, and reading for me. In the afternoon we went to Kettle’s Yard, a museum of art, etc. housed in 3 cottages. Pretty neat. Addie did really well and enjoyed looking at the boats, flowers, animals…Wanted to get Carol a cool card there, but the little person wasn’t cooperating. Tried to put her down for a nap; no go. Dinner, etc.
